Final Post of the Morning

Rendell-Casey murderlize their opponents.
Casey has a 19-point lead, Rendell a 20 point lead.
Voter turnout will be about 3.9 million votes - 300,000 more than in 2002.
Republican Congressmen who go down:

PA4 Melissa Hart
PA7 Curt Weldon
PA10 Don Sherwood

PA6 TCTC -- trending Gerlach
PA 8. I predict Murphy unseats Fitzpatrick in a squeaker.

Back in the morning.

Not writing about the local elections? Don't you think some of us out here might be interested in knowing that Carol Campbell is now in city council?. I'm really angry about the lack of coverage on the special elections. They're very important to me and I feel that my local media is letting me down.

I'm amused by the closeness of votes received by Rendell and Casey. All of us Democrats knew we wanted Rendell, and that we had to get rid of Santorum, but a lot of us were, and are, uneasy about Casey and some of his positions. We got our marching orders from friends and family: if you can't stand voting for Casey, just push the Democrat button and let it go at that. I thought it was just a few of us. Now I wonder....

Yeah, "push the Democrat button"... and vote for Carol Campbell. At least if you live in the 4th district. If don't even know who you're voting for, why the heck do you vote in that race?

You aren't voting against Bush if you vote for the likes of Carol Campbell. Trust me.

Both PA-6 and 8 have been called.

Patrick Murphy has won the 8th and Fitzpatrick has conceded.

Gerlach won the 6th, again 51-49 by 3k votes over Lois Murphy.
