This Just In....

Amtrak announces it will start high speed service between Philadelphia and Harrisburg.
It will cut the travel time from 2 hours to 90 minutes.
This means regular folks will be able to travel between the two cities nearly as fast as the governor.
But they'll have to take the train.

Here are the details.

Gotta love the slight of hand in terms of the time differential. 2hrs vs 90mins; should really read 2hrs vs 1hr and 30 mins or even better 120 mins vs 90mins.

Don't seem so high-speed to me.

Not high-speed? How fast does Anonymous expect the train to go?

One thing that is missing from all of the press about this is the environmental impact of switching to electric trains. This is better for the environment as well as the commuters. Kudos to Amtrack.

$38 roundtrip from Phila to Hbg in 90 minutes. That's both faster and cheaper than you can drive.

I agree, good work, Amtrak!
