The Benjamin Factor

Culled from the latest campaign finance reports (filed Tuesday), I have compiled lists of the top contributors to the Rendell and the Swann campaigns.

Well, one big difference is that Ed Rendell's donors are mostly local.

Aren't there _any_ rich Republicans in PA?

Regarding your list of contributors for Rendell and Swann, it's interesting to note the difference in how you reported this information. Swann contributors get a description of who they are, generally with a negative connotation attached. But Rendell's list contains the description the contributors themselves provided, like "self-employed" or their organization name.

It's obvious you want readers to draw conclusions about one set of contributors, but not the other. Once again, your pro-Democrat bias is on display for all to see.

Lynn Swann
Bob and Doylene Perry PO Box 34153 Houston TX Owner $100,000
(A Texas homebuilder with close ties to the Bush White House)

Kim & Terrence Pegula 32 Wexford Club Dr Hilton Head Island SC Pres. & CEO $63,773
(An oil and natural gas co. executive)

Why are these considered "negative" connotations? The Texas homebuilder DOES have ties to the Bush White House, and Pegula IS an oil and gas executive...when did stating obvious and publicly available information turn into a negative connotation? Maybe I just don't see it...
